1. Minimum age
Participants must be age 18 or over.
3. Photos, videos, audio recordings and quotes
It is normal practice for us to take photos and/or videos and/or audio recordings during our events and courses. We may use some of these in our publicity including promotional materials, website, email and social media channels. We may also select quotes from participant feedback to use in our publicity, and sometimes attribute this to the feedback provider using their first name with voice type (for singers), or ‘accompanist’ or ‘observer’ as appropriate.
If you are attending an online group event, please note that it is normal practice for us to record the session(s) and share the recording with other participants and/or those who have been unable to attend the live event.
If you do not wish to be featured in any photo/video/audio recording or to have any feedback that you give us used in our publicity, please let us know in advance of the event or course.
You may be able to record the sessions you attend provided that the recordings are for your own personal use, won’t be reproduced for any purpose other than your own study and that you have the prior permission of any other participant and/or member of staff you are recording.
4. Course and event information
Melofonetica endeavours to keep all event and course information correct and up-to-date. However, we reserve the right to alter event and course details including tutor and venue details at any time if unforeseen circumstances occur. Participants will be notified of any changes as soon as possible.
Melofonetica and our coaches can not be held liable for accidents or damage to property which are caused by a participant and involving either himself/herself or any other participant or staff on one of our courses or events. In such cases the participant will take full responsibility for their actions and for any loss or damage caused, including reimbursement of any costs incurred by the affected party or venue as a result of such an incident. Melofonetica will at all times ensure, so far as is reasonably possible, a safe environment at the event and course venues used. Participants agree to indemnify Melofonetica against any claims and/or legal fees resulting from any incident or accident whilst on the premises. In cases where car parking is made available, Melofonetica can not be held responsible for damage or loss to vehicles.
We expect and hope that all participants will have an enjoyable experience and will make every effort to show respect at all times to fellow participants and coaches. Melofonetica reserves the right to remove any participant from a session if they show any unpleasant behaviour towards others.
If a participant needs assistance or has any cause for concern or complaint about any aspect of the session(s) attended they should contact a member of the Melofonetica team and we will do our best to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.
8. Force Majeure
Melofonetica is not liable in the event where it is unable to fulfil any service to which it is contractually bound because of fire, natural disaster, acts of government, failure of suppliers or subcontractors, labour disputes or other reasons which are outside its control.
9. Law and jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions, or Melofonetica programmes, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
